In early 2008Ian Johnson and I agreed to promote and Stage what we called "the Pro-AM".  The idea was simple, try and raise £50,000 by hosting a hockey game by inviting a team of professional players to take to the ice with a bunch of amateurs.  The term "Fat Dads" was born soon after and a date of Staurday 16th August 2008 was decided on the day of the big game.

Eight months after the initial "go" decision, the game took place.  It was a massive ocassion for both of us, along with the other Fat Dads and some of the pro players too I've since learned.

 To commemorate  the event we'll be keeping the Pro-Am page of the Sting web site live for as long as we can keep stories fresh and interesting.  We hope you find something of interest on here.
